On June 18, at 02:10, the border guards stopped a suspicious Chevrolet car with state license plate 77 PX 201 near Beylagan district’s Khalaj village, the service said in a statement, Caliber.Az reports.
As a result of search operations, over 102 kg of narcotics and 1,200 tablets of M-40 methadone were found. Huseynov Gorkmaz Yagub oglu (born 1977), a resident of the Ismailli district, and Rzayev Veli Imdat oglu (born 1995), a resident of the Binagadi district, were detained.
Additionally, on June 18 at 11:30, as a result of operative actions carried out by employees of the "Geytepe" border detachment, a bag with 5 kg 300 g of marijuana was found and seized in a package hidden in the bush at the border outpost near the village of Sarkhanly of the Jalilabad district.
The criminal case is currently being investigated.
